Ruislip, UK — A broadband surface mount bias tee with inputs from 10 MHz to 30 GHz is now available in the UK through exclusive, specialist distributor, Admiral Microwaves. Manufactured by Marki Microwave, the BT-0030 is the latest device in a range of bias tees introduced to suit a wide range of RF and microwave applications where external biasing is required.
This miniature surface mount unit is designed as a complete biasing solution for both sub-assemblies and system solutions. It integrates seamlessly with standard MMIC surface mount amplifiers and is available in two convenient pinout designs.
Technical specifications include a frequency range from 10 MHz to 30 GHz, RF power handling of 1 W, low DC resistance of less than 1 Ohm, high DC current of 500 mA, and 1 dB typical (2.5 dB maximum) conversion loss.
Contained in a 6.1 x 3.8 mm space saving package, the BT-0030 miniature bias tee is constructed with high temperature solder for reflow solderability. Evaluation boards are available.
Other bias tees in the Marki range include the BT-0065 with a frequency range from 4 kHz to 65 GHz, including 2.4 mm connectors. Insertion loss is 1.7 dB typical, 3 dB maximum. The BT-0050 device operates over the 4 kHz to 50 GHz range, features 2.92 mm connectors and has an insertion loss of 1.7 dB typical, 2.2 dB maximum.
