Richardson Electronics Ltd., LaFox, Ill, is introducing a 400 watt UHF LDMOS amplifier designed through its Ingenium design facility in Pianopoli, Italy.
Designated the LDU400C, the amplifier provides double the output power and a higher gain than Motorola's MRFA2604, a physically identical amplifier that has been discontinued, the company said.
The LDU400C is designed for analog and digital TV transposers and transmitters. It incorporates microstrip technology and a push-pull LDMOS configuration to enhance ruggedness and reliability, the company said.
The amplifier does not require expensive mechanical changes to incorporate into the transmitter. It is available as a finished product or as a component kit.
