Having developed a solid sales base in Europe, ZMD AG is looking to expand its coverage in the Americas by adding Newark to its distributor network.
Newark, a leading small-quantity components distributor, becomes ZMD's first catalog dealer in the Americas region—specifically the United States, Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Newark (which until recently went by the name Newark InOne) is authorized to stock selected ZMD products, including sensor signal conditioner ICs and the TSic family of low-cost, calibrated, precision temperature sensor solutions.
As the founder of a large European semiconductor community known as "Silicon Saxony," ZMD (Dresden, Germany) has built a reputation at home as a leading supplier of analog and mixed-signal ASICs and standard products.
"We are proud to be among the first to spread the word about ZMD to designers throughout [the Americas]," said Jeff Shafer, senior vice president of products at Newark (Chicago).
