WASHINGTON A former Delco Electronics Corp. executive has been tapped by the Obama administration to be deputy secretary of education.
Anthony Miller previously served as a regional marketing manager for Delco Electronics, the GM Hughes Electronics automotive design subsidiary based in Kokomo, Ind. Miller oversaw Delco's OEM and distributor channel marketing programs.
Along with his management experience, the White House cited Miller's work with the Los Angeles Unified School District, including the development of metrics for monitoring the huge school district's academic performance.
Miller holds an MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and an undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University.
