Andrew Fanara, of the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR program, will attend the international standby power conference, Global Cooperation on 1 Watt, on November 2-3, 2005 in Seoul, Korea. Standby power levels are incorporated into many of the current ENERGY STAR product specifications.
The EPA is interested in further addressing standby power by cooperating with other countries to harmonize standby power guidelines to reduce energy waste. During the conference, the EPA will be making several presentations to inform participants of the role of efficient power supply design in reducing energy consumption.
