In last week's newsletter I asked readers if they believed in all the reports and pundits who predict a talent crunch and if the IT industry outlook is really as rosy as many seem to claim.
And I got some great feedback that I've been posting over at my blog, The Job Front, so check it out and post your viewpoint as well.
From following our On The Job Hunt bloggers it seems pretty clear that the hiring scenario isn't as healthy as some claim.
Both John Elflein and Ken Assenmacher are not having an easy time, though John has some interesting potential job opportunities and is hoping one pans out. If you've got any advice or insight I hope you'll post a note back to our bloggers—even if it's just a short word of encouragement. Sometimes just a little support can be a huge help in what is clearly an emotional time.
And, after you give some support to our bloggers, give me some insight on some job search nightmares you've experienced. You know, like when hiring managers make you wait an hour after your scheduled interview time and then give you five minutes, or don't even call you after a second interview that you felt very good about.
Spread the joy of the job hunt over at our discussion forum.
On a final note, we've been busy pumping up our Hiring Reports section--articles that detail what IT skills companies are looking to hire on this year and advice from the company hiring managers on how to get a job with their company.
Check it out and let me know if there are additional questions and information we should be asking that would prove useful to you.
