LONDON Integrated antenna specialist Antenova Ltd has added two key executives to drive the company's operations and sales in global markets. Mike Edwards has been appointed vice president of worldwide sales and marketing while CL Lim has been promoted to vice president and general manager of Asia.
Antenova (Cambridge, England) specilizes in modules that incorporates its novel antenna technology with the key RF components and some of the transceiver functionality required for a mobile phone or PC modem.
Edwards has 25 years' direct and indirect sales, marketing and senior management experience in the semiconductor and components industry, having worked with start-up firms to large multi-national corporations. His previous roles include director of sales and marketing at Toshiba, Silicon7, Abacus and TVIA.
Lim also has over 25 years experience in international sales, business development and technical operations and management in the wireless and communication industry which includes senior roles at Motorola and Sanmina.
Commenting on Edwards' appointment, Greg McCray, CEO of Antenova, said: "His experience in managing direct and indirect sales will be instrumental in building out Antenova’s global sales force and growing network of leading distributors and agents."
McCray said of CL Lim: "As Antenova’s director of sales Asia and acting general manager of Asia for the past several months, CL has already demonstrated valuable skills by not only contributing to the sales process but also successfully managing a multi-contract manufacturer scenario and taking products into volume production. CL and his team have also made great progress in building out our design and support center in Taipei, Taiwan, and plans are already in place for design and support locations in China, Korea and Japan next year."
McCray added the appointments underpin the company's ambitions to become the market leader in antennas for mobile handsets, portable devices and laptop computers.
