PARIS – Innova Card, provider of secure hardware and software solutions for trusted terminals, has signed a distribution agreement with Altima Corp. so as to ensure sales coverage on the Japanese territory.
With this collaboration, Innova Card (La Ciotat, France) said it aims to reach the rapidly growing Japanese payment and security market while Altima claimed it would complete its range of products with USIP advanced SoC, low-level software, operating systems as well as development and production tools.
Under the terms of the agreement, Altima will offer another channel for purchasing Innova Card's solutions and getting support for their high-end products design and software development. Altima said it would also provide inventory and logistical support to meet the needs of major customers throughout Japan.
In a commentary, Gregory Guez, Innova Card's managing director for Asia, underlined that Japan has become a key strategic market, and Altima has "longstanding relationships with major customers, and demonstrable expertise in application specific ICs.”
