PARIS Rood Testhouse International N.V. announced that its subsidiary Rood Technology has been renamed to RoodMicrotech. This comes soon after Rood Technology took over Microtec GmbH (Stuttgart, Germany).
Early July, Rood Technology reached an agreement to acquire all the shares in the capital of Microtec. Through this combination, with consolidated sales in 2007 of about 17.5 million euros and close to 165 employees, Rood Technology said it aims to create the largest independent European testhouse based on its service provision: testing, test engineering, failure analysis and qualification.
The acquisition price of Microtec’s shares is 3,050,000 euros, of which 2,800,000 euros were paid immediately and 250,000 euros at the end of 2008.
RoodMicrotec has branches in Germany (Nördlingen, Dresden, Stuttgart and Hannover) and in the Netherlands (Zwolle).
