LONDON EDA company CoWare Inc. (San Jose, Calif.) is collaborating with ACE Associated Compiler Experts BV (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and the Europractice service (Leuven, Belgium) to offer Processor Designer C-Compiler to European universities and research institutes.
Processor Design is an EDA product from CoWare and Processor Designer C-Compiler is based on the CoSy Express technology from ACE. The move will help build Europe's expertise in application-specific instruction processors (ASIPs) and enable research centers to develop and evaluate processor architectures CoWare said.
"Working jointly with more than 60 universities and research institutes gives our commercial customers an easier path to efficiently deploy the power of CoWare Processor Designer for their ASIP development needs,” said Marc Serughetti, vice president of marketing and business development at CoWare, in a statement.
"With the extension of our relationship to include distribution of CoSy Express as an integrated part of Processor Designer C-Compiler by Europractice, European universities can now benefit from a complete and integrated ASIP design flow for research and educational purposes,” said Marco Roodzant, vice president of marketing and sales at ACE, in the same statement.
