Offering a simple entry to bidirectional, self-powered wireless communications, the EDK 300 developer's kit enables users to start complex hardware and software design for new products based on EnOcean's Dolphin EO3000i platform.
Self-powered, wireless sensor solutions allow for simple integration and faster time to market with a focus on energy-efficient applications.
The Dolphin system architecture lets designers implement bidirectional sensors without batteries, such as remote controls and room sensors with a feedback display.
Actuators such as heating radiator valves can be connected without cables and batteries, wirelessly and centrally controlled for simple upgrade from a single room.
All wireless modules (868MHz) of the EDK 300 can be programmed for custom applications through the API interface. Designed for battery less concepts with multiple energy harvesters, the STM 300 transceiver board features on-board solar cell and energy management.
Additional plug-ins offer external solar, thermo, push-button, piezo and vibration energy harvesters. It supports multiple energy storages as well as a number of sensors for temperature, light or air quality.
The TCM 300 and TCM 320 transceivers on the other hand are best suited for use in line-powered components such as flush-mounted actuators, repeaters or gateways.
All bidirectional wireless modules come with standard firmware for building automation. Users can also create their own firmware.
This is transferred to a specific wireless module by DolphinStudio software and the programming adapter.
The WinETEL serial communications software enables users to receive, transmit, analyse and record RF packets. The kit comes complete with cabling, power supply, software CD and user manual.
