PARIS Low-power FPGA startup SiliconBlue Technologies Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.) announced it has selected Synplify Pro FPGA synthesis software from Synopsys Inc. for its iCE65 family of mobileFPGA devices.
The customized version of Synopsys' Synplify Pro will be tuned for the SiliconBlue mobile FPGA device architecture. It is expected to be able to generate a high-performing netlist optimized for low area utilization, companies said.
Moreover, users of the Synplify Pro software will be able to choose either Verilog or VHDL netlists to be used for simulation from the software. The Synplify Pro software will also be tightly integrated and tested with SiliconBlue's iCEcube software.
