Dear Ms. Pele, Regarding Magmaâ??s statement in your article that:"The Quartz tools are compatible with third-party IC implementation flows and can read file formats used by traditional physical verification tools, the company added" , I wanted to clarify the situation. This statement is not in the actual press release that TSMC is quoted in. Moreover at least for Mentor Calibre design kits, TSMC has specifically added a statement to the design kit header file stating that TSMC certified Calibre design kits are to only be used with Calibre software. I would appreciate you posting my comment since S.T. Juangâ??s quote from the actual press release appears after the Quartz claim, confusing some TSMC customers since the TSMC header file and position is otherwise. Best Regards, Michael White Senior Product Marketing Manager Calibre DRC Verification
