PARIS Magma Design Automation Inc. announced it has appointed Noriaki Kikuchi as president of Magma KK, the company's Japanese subsidiary.
"Magma technology is well regarded in Japan the new Tekton static timing analysis platform has been met with great enthusiasm and I believe the company's commitment to making customers successful will continue to be key to attaining even greater accomplishments," stated Kikuchi.
Kikuchi reports to Magma's President and chief operating officer Roy E. Jewell.
Prior to joining Magma, Kikuchi was president of Japan operations for Brion Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of ASML. He was also president of Tera Systems Japan and held senior sales and field operations with Synopsys Japan and Seiko Instruments Inc.
Magma has two offices in Japan, in Yokohama and in Osaka.
In March, Magma said it had appointed Alok Mehrotra as managing director of Indian operations.
