This forecast seems to be less than the expected growth of MEMS. I doubt if this study also considered many MEMS components used specifically in the multiband RF front end systems which will be employed in the future mobile base station equipments and mobile handsets. But the medical applications are definitely a huge market where MEMS can be employed for invasive patient monitoring and drug delivery systems.
