Still too early to come to conclusion on this. Intel might still need them for the ongoing projects else costs would shoot up.

Intel folks made IMFT the leader in NAND tech. Intel SSDs are the benchmark products.Hard to imagine them parting ways. Probably a delayed investment decision.
