Acquisitions and integrations are Broadcom's two hallmark strategies since the inception of the company. Broadcom has great eyes in terms of which technology/companies to buy. But more importantly, the company really knows how to execute all these acquistions very well. There is no other company -- except for Cisco -- who is so disciplined to pull off and manage a series of acquisitions.

hey eewiz, buying all startups for hundreds of millions is not an easy strategy to follow, you need to show the results of these aqusitions eventually...but I like what Broadcom is doing and femtocells market has a great future...these networks will be more prevalent than 802.11, LTE or WiMAX...Kris

Wow! it seems Broadcom is aggressively acquiring all the startups. After acquiring Beceem for 316m$, this is Broadcom's 2nd acquisition for this month. Revenues seems very impressive @1.8B last quarter. I wonder why other companies dont follow a similar strategy. BTW, Am bit skeptical abt the sales volume of these chips. how many femtocells would we need?
