PARIS – Hynix Semiconductor Inc. said it has deployed SpringSoft's Verdi software as the debug platform for digital designs and the company's Laker software as the custom chip design platform for flash memory applications.
Hynix said it is using SpringSoft's Verdi Automated Debug System and Laker Custom Layout Automation System to achieve productivity gains in the functional verification and physical design of high quality memory solutions.
SpringSoft's Verdi Automated Debug System is a solution for debugging digital designs that helps comprehend complex and unfamiliar design behavior, automate difficult and tedious debug processes and unify diverse and complicated design environments. It is claimed to cut debug time in half.
The Laker Custom Layout Automation System targets analog, mixed-signal, memory, and custom digital IC design that address key pain points in the layout process. It provides an automated custom chip design environment for producing superior results in less time, including intuitive, full-featured schematic editor; patented Magic Cell (MCell) technology that automates device generation; and complete schematic-driven layout (SDL) flow to speed physical implementation.
