LONDON – Lip-Bu Tan, president and CEO of EDA software vendor Cadence Design Systems Inc. and also founder and chairman of venture capital firm Walden International, has been appointed to the board of directors of analog and mixed-signal IP core provider Cosmic Circuits Pvt. Ltd.
Ganapathy Subramaniam, CEO of Cosmic Circuits (Bangalore, India), commented "We are delighted to have Lip-Bu Tan join our board of directors at this pivotal time in the company’s history. His experience, knowledge and extensive network in the semiconductor industry are a great match for Cosmic Circuits."

Cadence is EDA and cosmic is in design, not sure if they want to acquire Cosmic. I guess its more to do with financial stability of cosmic.Let us see whats the vision of Cadence CEO on being one of the board of directors.
