SAN FRANCISCO—UK based private equity firm Azini Capital Monday (Jan. 24) said it acquired German EDA startup OneSpin Solutions GmbH from founding investors Apax Partners and Infineon AG, Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Azini has also completed an additional investment in OneSpin to accelerate the company's growth and development, the firm said.
OneSpin, which spun off from Infineon in 2005, focuses on formal assertion-based verification tools for system-on-chip, ASIC and FPGA designs. The firm appeared on the latest EE Times 60 Emerging Startups list.
Azini Capital, a private equity firm that launched in 2007, specializes in acquiring portfolios of private and public technology companies from historical investors and shareholders. In recent years, Azini has acquired stakes in several other tech firms from venture capitalists, including Frontier Silicon and Picochip.
