Apple will probably feel Jobs' resignation in the long run, however, I think it is a very solid company. I think Apple will continue to be Apple and come up with the breakthrough devices. It will continue be the company which will always be the leader and others will follow. For example, look at the Tablet market. Until Apple came out with the Ipad, no one that I know of came out with Tablets.

With Jobs out of reckoning I guess Samsung will go in for the kill, well unless they have been as innovative in their company culture as well which I feel has been the best kept secret.

Well, there are a lot of companies with huge campuses filled with highly talented people but very few of them can sell products like Apple does, why? I think it is because of Jobs. Leadership, vision, and charisma can never be underestimated.

I would assume that stepping down for now will reduce the stress on Steve and may allow him to get better faster. I am sure that Apple would not be where it is today without him. I am also sure that if they continue to innovate then Apple will be in fine shape. Get well sir.

We are discussion and scrutinizing Jobs and his contributions too much. Let the guy have his peace and wish him for this good health.

I agree CACHE. But he is a magician salesman. I guess if Marck Zuckerburg or Steve Ballmer or any other person is right as many times as Jobs then we will also revere them.

well, he did not need to come up with more revolutionary than that. He founded Apple and got most of things right every time.

You nailed it Duane, without the slick, shiney outer shell, it's just another product. Jobs made his products hip, cool and fashionable. He didn't sell the product, he sold the lifestyle ... and that's what the consumers latched on to.

We wish Steve Job rests and recovers best he can. In his more soletary peaceful time, he may contribute some of the most original ideas, which keeps Apple no 1 for next decade.
