Well, I would say lets toss both of them out and go for wireless streaming? Like Apple's Airplay. I dont want to carry a cable with me, when I go to my friends house and want to watch a movie from my phone. If you force me to pick one, I will go with MHL as most TVs and monitors have HDMI input and not DP input. BTW I dont make decision decisions for consumer devices :)

If you make design decisions about handsets, TVs or mobile apps processors I'd like to know this: Will you choose MHL, MyDP, both, neither...and most importantly...why?
