Wow, this leaves me aching to find out whether the personnel changes will affect the direction of Windows. For example, as a start, what does Julie Larson-Green think of Windows 8 or of Windows Live? Given the apparently controversial nature of Sinofsky's tenure, were some of the Windows 8 features also considered controversial within Microsoft? Are we to look forward to a Windows 9 in the near future, I guess is what I'm curious about. Or perhaps at the very least, a substantial change introduced with Windows 8 SP1? Curious minds would love to know.

This is very odd to have such an important executive to leave a company, especially just after the launch of a very strategical product. I wonder if this indeed has already affected the development of Microsoft.
