MUNICH, Germany – Micron Technology has announced the availability of an embedded multimedia memory card (eMMC) suitable for the automotive environment.
The memories are expected to support navigation and infotainment applications and provide memory capacities ranging from 4-Gbyte to 64-Gbyte The eMMC memories include an integrated NAND controller.
Micron said that Harman International Industries Inc. (Stamford, Connecticut) has selected the eMMC 4.41 product range for its automotive infotainment products.
Micron's automotive eMMC 4.41-compatible devices are ramping up to volume production for automotive OEMs and leading car makers.
