I think times are getting harder not better if tier 2 (Micron, ST, AMD) is starting to suffer and some of tier 1 brands (Intel, Microsoft) are trying to reinvent themselves.

This is one of the problems why we can not attract more new students for the semiconductor industry in US. These young people see family members or friends in an unstable job market.
