NO RATINGS
I wish I had the time to attend this one. I would certainly agree that Android is taking an increasing role in the embedded space. A few years ago, when the Beagleboard was new, someone ported Android to it. Recently, I've acquired a Xilinx Zedboard (With a Xilinx Zynq SOC containing an FPGA and a dual-core ARM A9) and it has an Android port already. I expect that if I were to look closely at most embedded boards with a similar power capability, I'd find Android ports for them too. The question I haven't really seen an answer to, however, is "what are the benefits of Android over Linux in the embedded world?" I'd say it has a good place, but I don't know how to trade one off for the other.
