One microcosm that should be easy to analyze is a car. With one driver and 50 to 100 microprocessors (which are receiving data), the sensors far outnumber the human driver. I do hope that we can improve upon the efficiency, architecture, and integration of future home control systems. Otherwise we're doomed to spend our days debugging and resetting scores of computers with little time to do anything useful.
