Just curious to know how safe is it to integrate car infotainment systems inside your car. For example tracking your stocks while driving may not be good idea.

They main thing that car makers have to do is provide a decent location to put a powered dock and a connection into the audio system. Every other need is supplied by today's phones.

The success of infotainment will be driven by the usefulness of the additional information provided and by the nature of entertainment. For example, if the information is the ensure driving safety while the entertainment doesn't distress driver from the road, it might be a winner application. What would you think the best apps in a vehicle?

I think integrating car entertainment and smart applications with the smart phones, tabs is going to be the next hot topic for the automotive-electronics sector. Toyota and Ford definitely have an advantage by getting ahead of others in this space. May be one day we will see a car similar to what Batman has :)
