MANHASSET, N.Y. EE Times is conducting an independent, editorial research study into trends and patterns in global competition in the electronics industry. The study will answer the question: How are U.S. electronics companies responding to the opportunities and challenges presented by increased global competition?
The publication's editors said they are seeking input from decision makers at small- to medium-sized companies involved in foreign direct investment into product manufacturing, design, technology development, research, marketing and sales. Respondents can participate in the survey at the "Global Competition -- U.S. vs. Global Markets" Web site.
Respondents who complete the survey will receive a summary of the research findings.
While multinational companies have been confronting the global challenge for years, small- and mid-sized firms have struggled to make the global transition. The study is intended to develop a better understanding of the perceptions, needs and concerns of EE Times readers as their companies consider and move to initiate international expansion strategies.
Complete study results, and further reporting on this critical topic, will be published this fall in an EE Times special report.
