Intel Corp. Sunday made selected price cuts of up to 38% to its mobile Pentium 4 processor line and smaller reductions to its mobile Celeron family.
Pricing for the 2.4GHz mobile P4 dropped 38% to $348, while the 2.2GHz version was cut 31% to $241. The 2GHz P4 was dropped 18% to $198. The top-of-the-line 2.5GHz mobile Pentium 4 remained unchanged in price at $562.
Intel also cut itd Mobile Celeron prices, dropping the 2GHz version 10% to $134, the 1.9GHz 16% to $112, and the 1.7GHz 14% to $96.
Intel cut one Pentium 4 desktop processor, the 3.06GHz version with a 533MHz front side bus, which was reduced 32% to $401.
