COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Howard Bubb, vice president and general manager of Intel Corp.'s communications infrastructure group and the former chief executive of Dialogic Corp., is leaving Intel to join a startup.
Bubb joined Intel in June 1999 after Dialogic was acquired by Intel for $780 million.
Over the course of several reorganizations in Intel's communications business, Bubb gained oversight over network processors, embedded communications, and optical communications devices.
Doug Davis, a 15-year veteran of Intel, will replace Bubb as general manager of the infrastructure group. An Intel spokeswoman said that some further reorganizations may take place as Davis takes over, but his responsibilities will cover all semiconductor and embedded-systems areas dealing with telecommunications infrastructure.
