SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. here announced that Tom Endicott has joined the company as president and chief operating officer. He takes over roles that had been performed by Jimmy Lee, who will continue as chairman and CEO
Endicott was most recently vice president of sales and marketing for Chartered Semiconductor Ltd., one of ISSI's wafer suppliers and process development partners. Endicott has also worked at S-MOS, where he served as chief operating officer, and at Signetics, and Texas Instruments Inc.
At ISSI, Endicott will focus on the company's day-to-day operations, while Lee will retain responsibility for the strategic direction of the high-performance memory-chip maker.
"ISSI recently grew 29% quarter to quarter," said Lee. "In a time of rapid growth and tight wafer capacity, adding a senior executive very familiar with the wafer foundry side of the business and with strong operating skills makes great sense. We are delighted to welcome Tom to the team."
