HILLSBORO, Ore. -- FEI Co., a maker of submicron-level imaging systems, today announced the appointment of James P. Fraine as vice president of sales and service for North America and John A. Doherty as vice president of sales and service for the Asia-Pacific region.
Fraine, who will join the company Oct. 1, comes to FEI from Integrated Measurement Systems Inc. of Beaverton, Ore., where he had been vice president of sales since 1994. Prior to that, Fraine was national sales manager at Teradyne Inc., and an account manager for GenRad Inc.
FEI president and CEO Vahe' Sarkissian said, "Jim brings a breadth of knowledge of the semiconductor capital equipment market and will help us continue to drive all our products in the semiconductor and data storage markets."
Doherty takes over the Asia-Pacific sales position after 15 years at Micrion Corp., which he helped to found and which merged with FEI in August. Most recently Doherty was senior vice president at Micrion. "Jack's skills in marketing to the Asia-Pacific region is part of the value the Micrion merger brings to FEI," noted Sarkhissian.
