PLIEZHAUSEN, Germany -- Steag MicroTech GmbH, a unit of Steag Electronic Systems AG, has appointed Heinz Pichler, a former Texas Instruments Inc. executive, to the new position of chief operating officer.
He will be responsible for directing global operations for Steag MicroTech's automated wet processing systems. Specifically, Pichler, 55 will oversee manufacturing of the company's wet cleaning product lines.

Pichler spent 27 years at TI in various international locations. Most recently, he served as the worldwide operations manager for Texas Instruments Materials & Controls in Freising, Germany. Before that, Pichler served in other management capacities that included business and product planning, quality management and control, marketing and engineering/production planning.
