A modification to the DprobeXC in-circuit emulator enables engineers to record external transistor-transistor logic (TTL) signals, a requirement for testing integration for XC166 applications, says manufacturer Hitex Development Tools.
Within the trace memory of DataProbeXC, engineers can record and display two external signals using Hitex's HiTOP user interface. The company says the complex trigger logic allows the user to define trigger conditions, identify specific signal states, and then allocate triggers to actions such as stop of the application or trace qualification. Engineers can obtain detailed information about failures and identify errors. DataProbeXC can also set an external output signal as a trigger action to trigger to external logic arrays or to other tools like oscilloscope, logic analyzer, or even a second emulator.
