Aaeon Technology Inc.'s first Mini-ITX CPU module should prove popular, using Intel's 852GM + ICH4 + ICP ULV processor to achieve a 600MHz clock rate, but drawing only seven watts of power.
The EMB-852T is configured with one DIMM slot for up to 1GB of DDR memory, as well as an embedded VGA controller that shares memory up to 64MB with DVMT (Dynamic Video Memory Technology).
A built-in LCD support permits the use of Dual LVDS 18/24/36/48 bit panels. It uses a Realtek ALC650 chip to provide a six channel, full duplex AC97 2.2 compatible stereo audio CODEC. S/PDIF audio input and output are available to ensure the best audio transmission quality between other consumer devices such as DVD players, home theater etc.
The module also includes Mini PCI and PCMCIA slots for expansion, and is equipped with an onboard touch screen controller to support 4/5/8-wire resistive touch screens as well as five COM ports for multiple device connection demands.
