Quadros Systems, Inc. has ported its RTXC Quadros RTOS and integrated middleware for use with the new Freescale MCF521x family of microcontrollers.
The RTOS and middleware are designed to allow developers to take full advantage of the hardware features of the MCF521x family, including the ability to run the RTOS and application software entirely onchip with no external memory required.
Tightly coupled to the MCF521x processor architecture, which is characterized by large integrated flash and RAM and multiple communications interfaces, the small, scalable footprint of the RTXC Quadros RTOS enables developers to use these processors in single-chip mode with no external memory.
Used togther the CPU/RTOS combination can be used in a variety of cost-sensitive networked applications including industrial control and factory automation, building controls, remote sensing and monitoring, point-of-sale terminals and biometrics.
Quadros Systems offers an extensive suite of middleware integrated with the RTXC RTOS including RTXC Quadnet TCP/IP, IPsec/IKE security module, RTXCflashfile, CAN and USB.
