Now available from LiPPERT is the PC/104-based Cool LiteRunner single board computer built around AMDs’ Geode GX email@example.com W processor.
Requiring only 6.5 watts @ 333 MHz, the board has an integrated miniPCI slot that allows flexible extension with third parties WLAN and other cards. It features dual Fast Ethernet NIC's and is desgined for networking applications requiring bridging and routing.
Using a CS5535 I/O companion and a Super I/O chip, the module resembles a complete PC with many of the standard peripherals. CRT, TFT and LVDS adapters allow usage of many display devices. PS/2 is used for keyboard and mouse; a LPT interface is integrated, as well as four USB host ports. Three flexibly configurable serial ports handle RS232, RS422 or RS485 links.
The Cool LiteRunner comes equipped with 128 MB DDR-SDRAM soldered to the printed circuit board. Local mass memory can be added using either the build-in IDE connector or CompactFlash socket.
The Cool LiteRunner is compatible with current x86 software like Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as real time operating systems like VxWorks.
