SANTA FE SPRINGS, CalifWestinghouse Digital Electronics announced its LCD HDTVs models LTV-27w6HD and LTV-32w3HD, the first to offer the company's SpineDesign feature and integrated ATSC and NTSC tuners to display over-the-air high-definition digital signals and standard definition analog signals.
The Westinghouse SpineDesign offers easy access from both sides of the TV "spine" for all of the video source connections offered, including DVD players, personal computers, gaming consoles, satellite and cable boxes, and Windows Media Center Edition. SpineDesign also incorporates a single board to shorten the signal path from video sources to the panel for improved picture quality.
Integrated ATSC and NTSC tuners enable both high-definition and standard analog channels to be combined into a single list, eliminating the need to switch inputs between HD and standard television stations.
Measuring 4.4 inches deep and weighing about 30 pounds, the TVs can also easily mount onto a wall. The 27- and 32-inch models feature a native resolution of 1366x768 with more than 1 million pixels for outstanding picture quality. The models are available at estimated retail prices of $1,000 for the LTV-27w6HD and $1,299 for the LTV-32w3HD.
