CAMBRIDGE, UK Maxim Integrated Products launched three ICs that form a complete multiprotocol transceiver chipset supporting V.28 (RS-232), V.10/V.11 (RS-449/V.36, EIA-530, EIA-530A, X.21), and V.35 protocols.
The MAX13171E is a multiprotocol data transceiver, the MAX13173E is a multiprotocol clock transceiver, and the MAX13175E is a multiprotocol termination IC.
Designed using Maxim's next-generation BiCMOS process technology, this chipset is a pin-compatible upgrade for the MXL1543B/MXL1544/MXL1344 chipset.
The ICs also achieve higher V.35 and V.11 data rates and provide enhanced ESD protection, making well suited for telecommunication, data networking/routing, and PCI card applications. The MAX13171E/MAX13173E/MAX13175E operate over a wide 3.135 to 5.5V supply range and provide low (1.62V) VL logic capabilities.
The chipset is fully specified over the -40 degrees C to +85 degrees C industrial temperature range. Each device is available in a 5x7mm, 38-pin TQFN package.
