The iSLI (Institute for System Level Integration) is offering a "FPGAs for DSP & Communication" course. The course covers the use of FPGAs for Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms, applications architectures and hardware-software system partitioning.
The course uses Xilinx XUP Virtex II Pro Development Systems. Each board has a Virtex-II Pro XC2VP30 FPGA, which features two PowerPC processors and more than 30,000 logic cells. The boards also feature eight dedicated multi-gigabit transceivers for use in high speed communications such as 10G fibre channel and gigabit Ethernet. The course relies on the Xilinx ISE software and SystemGenerator, which runs on Mathworks Simulink.
