PARIS EDA startup Teklatech A/S (Copenhagen, Denmark) announced it has expanded its worldwide presence with the appointment of Japanese representation.
By establishing presence on the Japanese soil, Teklatech said it plans to address the growing interest from Japanese semiconductor companies in its FloorDirector, a software solution that is claimed to reduce IR drop, EMI and substrate noise very early in the backend flow.
The company said it also expects to improve its access to Japanese semiconductor vendors in end markets such as automotive, mobile applications and digital consumer electronics.
The Japanese team will be headed by EDA expert Fumikatsu Adachi.
Commenting on the representation agreement, Christian Petersen, VP of worldwide sales at Teklatech, stated: "With increasing competition at a global level, semiconductor business models are under ever more pressure for profitability. But leading Japanese semiconductor companies are at the cutting-edge, displaying technology leadership and a clear understanding of the fundamental design challenges. Our technology can help drive profitability for all segments of the semiconductor industry. We are confident that this new representation agreement will help grow Teklatech’s market considerably, and benefit our Japanese customers directly."
FloorDirector is described as a proactive ASIC design solution used to improve on-chip as well as off-chip power and noise integrity, reducing dynamic voltage drop and improving EMC.
