Um, we seem to have overlooked a critical detail. "In addition, electrolysis creates no greenhouse gases, whereas making a pound of hydrogen from natural gas produces 4 pounds of greenhouse gases." Perhaps this should have read electrolysis creates no ADDITIONAL greenhouse gases. That electricity has to come from somewhere, and currently we get 50% of our power from coal, which certainly produces greenhouse gases. actually, we have been looking for a solution like this - that could produce Hydrogen from electrolsis - also looking a highlty efficient oxygen from electricity method -
