Hi, very interesting article. However, testing FPGA under isolation is not actually testing FPGA on target hardware. DO254 requires the testing to be done in post-route as well as on target, and compare  the results. Isolating the FPGA will not be real world (or even at board level) similar functionality determinsm. Has this approach of RTL + Isolated FPGA testing and no further testing of FPGA on actual target HW is acceptable. I will be very much interested in your response.
