Interesting article, lot`s of truths in there. However, on thing was not mentioned. OpenVG v1.1 was released in 2008 and there was NO more update since that time. A 4 year old standard in these times can only be considered as outdated. This is proven by the fact that there is almost NO semiconductor vendor but Freescale relying on OpenVG. OpenVG never really found its way in the embedded world and it won`t any more.

Max, you should have reviewed what is behind the Cadillac CUE instrument cluster, that shows in mass production what you are preaching in your article. That is Populus from MECEL AB. You article was more like a sales pitch for Freescale i.MX6, Rightware and Elektrobit, or that is what is it, isn't it?
