Jersey City, N.J. Bel Fuse Inc. has launched fast-acting surface-mount chip fuses in EIA 0603 format. The C2Q, designed for both infrared reflow and wave-soldering processes, is rated from 0.25 to 4 A at 32 Vac/63 Vdc. Interrupt capacity for all ratings is 35 A, 32 Vac and 50 A, 63 Vdc. Clearing time is four hours minimum at 100 percent of rating, 2 seconds maximum at 200 percent and 0.2 second at 300 percent. The fuses, UL and CSA approved, come on 8-mm tape on a 7-inch reel with 5,000 parts. A single reel is 12 cents. Delivery is stock to four weeks.
