EVERETT, Wash. Fluke Corp.'s 80 Series III digital multimeters, designed for electronic technicians and electricians, measure dc millivolts, ac/dc volts, ohms and amps, and perform diode and continuity tests. The multimeters withstand power surges to 8 kV and meet IEC 1010 Category III 1,000-V safety standards.
Fluke has made the 80 Series III multimeters easier to read by providing an LED backlight on all models, which allows viewing under virtually any conditions. An enhanced LCD has larger digits and a better viewing angle. The series provides high accuracy, Fluke said, with a six-layer circuit board to reduce EMI noise.
A battery-access door enables the user to change batteries without breaking the calibration seal. Models 87 and 87E have a 4-1/2-digit mode. Model 87E has premium test leads. All are packaged with alligator clips.
List prices are $279 (83 III), $319 (85 III), $349 (87 III) and $369 (87E III).
