MONROVIA, Calif. Clary's E Series of single-phase UPSes for 1- to 10-kVA service (rated at up to 8 kW) is now shipping, with a four-to-10-week lead time depending on the model. Features include true online operation, wide input range (120 to 264 Vac at 60 percent load), user-friendly LCD readout (five languages available), no-load shutdown and secure fault management that includes help with interface installation, UPS monitoring and logging of power events. All units are equipped with RS-232 communications ports and offer SNMP networking. They start at $3,990.
David Patterson, known for his pioneering research that led to RAID, clusters and more, is part of a team at UC Berkeley that recently made its RISC-V processor architecture an open source hardware offering.
