EAST GREENWICH, R.I. Cherry Semiconductor's CS-1107 is a single-relay driver that powers and detects fault conditions in automotive relays.
The device provides up to 350 mA of drive current and detects both open- and short-circuit conditions. It reports fault occurrences on its fault pin, an active low-open collector output that typically is fed to the auto system's microprocessor.
The CS-1107 is powered by a single 5-V supply. In an eight-lead small-outline IC with internally fused leads, it is priced at 99 cents each in 1,000-piece quantities.
