NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. Advanced Semiconductor Inc.'s high-frequency oscillator, the OSC-0.7L, aims at replacing Motorola's MRF905 and NEC's NE57510 and NE77310, components Advanced Semiconductor said those parts were discontinued by their manufacturers. They are used in radar, satellite receivers and comms gear.
The OSC-0.7L has a hermetic TO-46 package, a POSC of 700 mW at 1.68 GHz and omnigold metallization to enhance reliability. Besides standing in for the older Motorola and NEC products, the oscillator suits new designs featuring low-phase-noise-cavity oscillators. Pricing is under $10 in lots of 100.
